The Lord is good

Shittim Camp~

Formerly known as 3G Camp and now they've moved to a new site with more exciting games and upgrades:-)

The land belongs to the 'boss', Mr. Chua and we really thank God that through this Shittim Camp, many young people can enjoy the creation of God

His son is also joining our youth cell regularly now

Will end the intro here and begin the reviewing here;-)

I guess we were all too excited that none of us (even Edwin) forgot to bring the camera and so in the end, we had to use phone and some youth's camera to take the photos

All the photos here're from Mr. Chua

Spider Web

To some of the people this is scary, especially when u reach the top and about to turn

Even my heart was pounding really hard when I wanted to make the turn to the other side on top but I tried really hard not to show it because my whole team was watching~XD

The Wall...

The 10 foot (or feet) wall was one of the energy draining game they have

The team has to push the first person up to the top and then slowly get the whole team up and those who're already up, can't go down to boost the others up therefore the last person'll have a hard time getting up

Tarzan Swing

To me, it's one of the easiest game as long as you get the technique right which is 'shorten' your leg until you nearly reach the other side and then let go to land on the landing spot

Crawling

This isn't as easy as it looks because you almost have to stick your whole face to the ground to crawl (and smell the nature)

Ringing the Bell

People with good arm strength has great advantage on this because he / she can use the arm power to pull the whole body upward and hit the bell easily (my dumb bell helped me to have this advantage~XD)

The 'Finger'

Energy Killer

This was taken after a few times of failure

This was taken when we succeeded

The whole team have to find a way to take out the tyre and put it in again and as you can see...it's really hard!

It was a really eye opener for me to see Karen in action in all the games (though I couldn't really see what happened because I was always at the base><")

They've a very cool 'pool' now and added some water games there

Leaf Grabbing

Wall Climbing

The leaf grabbing was quite easy as you can see in the photo

Whole team have to get 1 piece of leaf (with any method), given a floating tyre

As for the wall climbing, it's not as easy as it looks because the thing's slippery plus soap water'll be poured from the top making it almost impossible to go up but we thank God our group (Group C) was the only group who got through it (we were also got first place among the 6 groups~yeah~XD)

Water Running?

Yup...running on water (well...almost~XD)

Each member has to 'skip' from one end to the other so you just need to get your balance right and you're all clear

I thank God that I didn't have much injuries just some muscle pain and we really enjoyed the time there

Looking forward to come again~XD

That all happened on Tuesday and as for today...

Final day for Alpha for this season~yeah~XD

It's almost Fun Mei jie's birthday today so she got some gifts from Edwin's mum

Dolls from 'The Claw'

Praying for Fun Mei jie

Cupcakes~

Yeah~

He really looks 'Japanese-ish'~XD

Praise the Lord that there'll be a break from preparing Alpha stuffs for at least 4 months which means Edwin's burden's lighten a bit

Lord we thank You that You've used Mr. Chua as a blessing to others through the Shittim Camp. Pray for all the youths that they'll recover from their muscle pain as soon as possible. Pray also for Fun Mei jie for her birthday that she'll grow more and more like You. Pray also for our Alpha Course this year for all the fruits and people that we brought. Pray that the Holy Spirit'll continue to make the seed grow in them and let their hearts be good soil to the Word of God. Pray for all the upcoming Christmas events, practices, video editing, etc. that Lord You'll be our guide and strength through the whole December. In the name of Christ, amen.

The Good Job and Good Bye of Kim Jong-hyun

The recent passing of Kim Jong-Hyun on 18 December 2017, a 27-year-old lead singer of the massively popular K-pop boy band SHINee, shocked the world as much as his worldwide fans.  Jonghyun was the best artist who loved music more than anyone and gave his all on the stage ...I t is heartbreaking to deliver such sad news to the fans who loved him. His "suicide note" (unofficial English translation) can be found online, which seems to express the struggle and sufferings were beyond his limits, hence he decided to end his life. However, discussion about the "suicide note" was ongoing and one of the comments said... As outsiders, we will never know what happened in this man's life. We only saw what he and the SM wanted us to see. At the end of the day, we didn't know Jonghyun nor his suffering. I think that is the worst part. We can be a fans but we shouldn't delude ourselves into thinking we know that person and their life. Other than feeling of ...

Delight~

I think it's my first time going to such a concert outside of church and it was really an eye-opener Normally I wouldn't wanna participate in these kind of things but for the sake of blogging (partly) I went to enjoy the show and indeed, I enjoyed it! Music Across Borders Held at Dewan Canselor, UMS The hall The hall was actually quite huge and I like the spotlights throughout the whole performance The guys  The ladies Funny sisters See? They started off with a local team of youth choir and then followed by Europe team (I was thinking very hard to figure what their performance was trying to tell us) Local youth choir Team from Europe Hmm... No idea... Yeah... I've used my phone to record some of the performance but I actually used up too much battery on the first part because I didn't know there was a second part (Malaysia Operafest Children's Choir) Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Take some time to watch the videos (though not ...

New~

Hey~hey~hey~guess what~I've got a new racket~yeah~^O^ Black & White~(don't know why the photo's rotated) Well I won't abandon the old one but it can rest now until such time when the new one can't take it anymore then It'll have to come out from its rest once more~XD Well nothing much for today but yesterday I was in a sense 'forced' to blog so here it is~ Before service started, I told myself "I won't go yamcha tonight" but in the end...still ended up in Kopi Ping~X_X" Well we had a great time of fellowship but just when we wanted to leave, uncle Allan came with 2 glasses of drink with red bean inside (I guess it's gonna be in the menu soon) '初恋红豆冰' & Jai Hui Well the reason I took the photo of Jai Hui and the drink it's because she named it '初恋红豆冰' and uncle Allan quite liked it I guess So when you go Kopi Ping at Damai next time and you see 初恋红豆冰 then you know who named it~XD ...
